The Obstetrics Initiative (OBI) is a statewide Collaborative Quality Initiative transforming the experience and outcomes of childbirth care. With multidisciplinary teams at over 70 hospitals, OBI is changing the culture of healthcare, advancing equity, and improving outcomes for all after childbirth in Michigan.
MDC aggregates commercial claims data from patients cared for by participating OBI Hospitals. Over time, additional sources of information will be integrated into the data hub.
The OBI dashboard contains meaningful prenatal measures determined by OBI clinicians and expert staff. Through our iterative design process, ongoing updates will accommodate new data and reporting options. Measures are searchable by state, region, and hospital. Access is secured based on user credentials.
